358 steel mesh is a specialty security fencing product, and the standard setup is a 2400 mm-high mesh panel that is fixed to specially made posts and top and bottom rails with tamper-proof fasteners. 358 refers to how the mesh is constructed. The vertical wires are resistance-welded every 3 inches (75mm), and the horizontal wires are spaced every 0.5 inches (12.5mm) with an 8-gauge wire (4mm).
